"I recently worked with Josh to buy my very first home. I had taken a first time homebuyer's class, but there was still quite a lot of information I where I needed expertise and guidance. I have to say, Josh was amazing! The first property I was interested in was a bad experience due to the fact that the seller's agent did not want me to use my own agent so that he could save money and not pay a buyer's agent. This agent was very sketchy. He had failed to disclose some information to the existing condo owners at the property regarding some noise issues below their condos that he knew would affect them. He was trying to sell me those same units! Josh couldn't have represented me any better. He assured me I had the right to representation and he dealt directly with that agent to try to get me the property with an appropriate deal. He was able to negotiate a great deal for me! I was so excited. But again, the agent was trying to scam us and after consulting with Josh, we decided it was not in my best interest to go through with that property. Very shortly after, literally days, Josh found a place he knew fit my needs and negotiated an offer! The property was a short sale when we put in our first offer and after 3 months of follow-ups and persistence, we found out the bank foreclosed the property and our offer was no longer valid. I was really frustrated. However, Josh was able to find the property marketed on foreclosure by the bank and we immediately put an offer. The bank's agent notified us that there was another bidder and they would accept the highest and best offer. At that point, I went into panic mode! We didn't know what the other bidder was going to offer so we had a hard decision in our hands. Josh made some calculations and analysis and found the perfect number for our offer, but I must say I was extremely nervous. I trusted Josh, but I thought for sure the other interested buyer was going to win. But guess what? Josh got me the property!!!!!! And I say Josh because he was able to recommend an appropriate number without having to offer more than we were willing to pay and still have a good chance of getting the property. I could have not done that myself and so I cannot thank Josh enough. He connected me with a great team who made it all happen. I am now a happy homeowner :) Without all his hard work and effort, I wouldn't have had such a great experience during what could have been a nightmare. You will not regret working with Josh; he will represent you well. His number one priority is looking out for your best interest. "

"I knew that there was one real estate professional out there that genuinely wanted to help the homebuyers/renters he/she was working with. Most of them have a hidden agenda so they can maximize their profit out of every deal, but I knew there was ONE honest one out there. But seeing that I was a first-time home buyer (and had no idea what I was doing), I figured I probably wouldn't get "the one". So when Josh Brett started to help me look for a home, I challenged the sincerity of his suggestions every step of the way. When he suggested a contractor or a lawyer, I would do my own research, afraid that he was just trying to help out a colleague without really caring about the quality of service he was referring.

But I am here to tell you that the lawyer Josh suggested was absolutely fantastic. The contractor Josh suggested, despite my additional research, ended up being my top choice. Josh would make the time to meet with me when I needed his help, sometimes as late as 8pm. He met with me on weekends. He left his family gathering once to help me meet with a contractor. He even let me borrow his camera when I needed one to take pictures of my future place. And perhaps most importantly, he was aggressive when he needed to be to get me a FANTASTIC deal on my place!

Believe it. Josh's business model is very simple: make the client happy. Do what they need, and to it well. That's all, with no hidden agenda. I couldn't be happier with Josh Brett as my real estate professional. If he serves your area, I couldn't recommend him higher!!

(But please don't take advantage of him and demand that he leave future family gatherings for you! The highlights I mentioned above were used only to highlight his drive to do well.) "

"Josh Brett is AMAZING. As first-time home buyers my fiancé and I had no idea what we were getting into as we entered into the world of real estate--Josh saved the day (again…and again…and again). From day one Josh was warm, welcoming and overwhelmingly patient as we navigated the ins and outs of buying a new home. We would call him at all hours of the day, all days of the week, and not only was he always available for us, but he always responded kindly, patiently and thoroughly. He always kept us a few steps ahead of the process so we knew what to expect and he was meticulous about sticking to the timeline my fiancé and I had laid out. Additionally, Josh has wonderful contacts in the community and he was able to bring together the perfect team of lenders, inspectors, attorney's (etc.) to get the job done. Throughout the entire process Josh never faltered from being the genuine guy he is. I was always taught never to trust real estate agents but Josh made that impossible. He is honest and firmly grounded in the Jamaica Plain community--he knows that post-homebuying he will also be your neighbor so he prioritizes positive relationships with all of his clients. Also, as someone new to JP, Josh made the extra effort to introduce us to all JP has to offer. Josh took us on walks around the neighborhood, invited us to first Thursday festivities, and kept us up to date on various community events. Most importantly, Josh found us our dream home at our dream price. He is a smart agent with the know-how to get you the real estate you want at the price you want and he will not back down until you (the client) are satisfied with the outcome. Now that my fiancé and I are happily settling into our new home, we have to admit that we miss the daily interactions with Josh. Buying a home is an exhausting, emotional process and it is imperative that you find someone you can really connect with to guide you through it all--Josh is that person.

I can't help but notice and question the negative review that was previously posted about Josh--are you SURE it was Josh Brett that you worked with??? I have to assume you are mistaken because the words "unresponsive" and "incompetent" simply cannot be coupled with Josh Brett--To reiterate, Josh basically gave us on-call support 24 hours a day 7 days a week and he REALLY knew what he was doing.

I give Josh Brett the highest review (I'd give him 6 stars if I could) and would recommend that any home-buyer in the Boston area seek him out for his incredible expertise."
